Hello
Welcome to Little Beans and thank you for taking the time to visit my website. My name is Sonja, and several years ago I made the life changing decision to change career direction, from working within the Legal sector, to following my heart and creating photographic magic for a different set of clients. I absolutely value the joy I feel each and every time I photograph a fresh new life, and never tire of meeting new families and witnessing them grow together.
If you are anything like me, you will want to skip all the wordy bits on here and go straight to the pretty pictures and the prices, however, on a serious note, once you have done that, may I please invite you
back here to read the paragraph below about safety. . . in the meantime, I hope you enjoy looking through the images and finding inspiration for your own Little Beans. Here is a link to one of my galleries.

My Experience & Training
Over the years, I have acquired a wealth of family, home, study and work experiences, which when woven together have brought me to this happy place as principal photographer at Little Bean Baby Photography. As a Mother myself, I also understand the priceless value of freezing a moment in time and preserving the kind of memories you and your children will want to share in the years that follow.

Your Baby's Safety
. . . respect, tenderness and care . . .
It is a magical privilege to be trusted to photograph your baby, and I love absolutely every single session with these tiny little treasures. Each and every baby is a priceless gift, fragile and vulnerable, and it is my responsibility to carefully and tenderly handle every one with the utmost respect, tenderness and care; with safety and comfort being paramount.
Ten years ago, when I side stepped into Newborn photography, there was only one other local photographer offering this genre. Fast forward to now, and Newborn Photography has become hugely popular which in turn has seen a leap in the number of people offering it. This is a highly specialised area of photography that you may be surprised to learn is not regulated or monitored at all, this means that anyone can set up as a newborn photographer . . . and alarmingly, they do !
Of course you will be present and you will watch the magic unfold, however, unless you have been trained in the intricacies of how we safely pose, will you be confident in knowing that your baby's circulation, temperature, airways and delicate little limbs are not being compromised? Did you also know that some of the poses you see online must never ever be done unless as a composite? This means that baby is held securely throughout the pose. More than one image is taken and then combined in post production to remove the hands. In addition, with the availability of digital backgrounds and AI, you will also see images that have been created on a desktop, not actually photographed, so don't assume that because you have seen an image online, that it is something that can be safely and easily reproduced by all photographers.
