How I Started...
I have always been a bit of an artist on the quiet and for as long as I can remember have enjoyed drawing, sewing and generally making things.
My mother tells me that when I was about 3, I proudly presented her with my latest creation, announcing that it was a camera. It would seem that even at that tender age I had aspirations of becoming a photographer!
Fast forward 30 years, three sons, a career in Legal Accounting, another period training and working as an Early Years Practitioner and a new husband who happened to be a photographer; it was only a matter of time before I picked up a camera too.
In 2009, I made the life changing decision to become a full-time student of photography, graduating three years later with a First Class Bachelors Degree. Over the years, I have photographed countless weddings and commercial projects but the one enduring subject that kept pulling me back was babies, and so I embarked on yet another period of training. I feel very lucky to have been trained by one of the country's leading newborn photographers, trainers and mentors through what was the original Newborn Art Academy.
After several years of trading as Kismet Photography with my husband, we decided to set up an additional arm to our photography business focusing on baby photography. This is how Little Bean Baby Photography was born.
